Tonga High-Frequency Phone Survey II (HFPS)
A World Bank-supported continuous survey providing high-frequency insights into the well-being of the Tongan population. Using monthly panel surveys and mobile phone sampling, HFPS II delivers reliable, timely data to inform policy, track social and economic trends, and support evidence-based decisions.
Tonga Informal Business Survey 2021
A national survey commissioned by MTED and supported by PSDI to understand informal business activities across Tonga. Covering over 2,300 businesses, the study highlights gender differences, business challenges, and finance needs, providing actionable data to support policy-making and the growth of the informal sector, especially for women entrepreneurs.
Tonga Labour Mobility Survey 2021
Conducted to understand the role of labour mobility in Tonga’s economy, this survey gathered detailed data on remittances, household impacts, and workforce participation. Insights contributed to shaping policies on regional labour schemes and worker welfare.
Kiribati HIES 2023–2024
The Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) collected critical national data on household income sources, consumption, and expenditure patterns. This survey informs poverty measurement, national accounts, and budget planning in Kiribati.
Kiribati Financial Inclusion Demand-Side Survey 2024
This study measured access to and use of financial services among households in Kiribati, identifying barriers to inclusion and opportunities to expand affordable financial products. The findings aim to guide policies that enhance financial resilience and reduce vulnerability.
Evaluation of the Conditional Cash Transfer Program 2024
An independent evaluation survey assessing the design, delivery, and impact of a conditional cash transfer program. The study measured effectiveness in improving household welfare, education, and health outcomes, providing actionable recommendations for policymakers.
